Dr. Arslan Munir — Founder and CEO, WattWave Tech:

Dr. Arslan Munir is a recognized leader in advanced computing, cybersecurity, and sustainable technology innovation, bringing over 15 years of experience at the intersection of management consulting, system architecture, and cutting-edge research. His professional background includes pivotal roles at global firms such as Mentor Graphics (now Siemens), Techlogix, and NESPAK, where he delivered transformative technology solutions across multiple industries.

He holds an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida (UF). He further advanced his research as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Rice University’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

A prolific researcher and thought leader, Dr. Munir has authored over 130 peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals and conferences, amassing more than 4,000 citations on Google Scholar.

He is the lead author of two books:

  • Modeling and Optimization of Parallel and Distributed Embedded Systems (Wiley-IEEE, 2016)
  • Accelerators for Convolutional Neural Networks (Wiley-IEEE, 2024)

His scientific contributions have earned him consistent recognition among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University experts based on Elsevier’s Scopus database.

As Principal Investigator, Dr. Munir has secured significant funding from both government agencies and industry leaders, driving innovations in AI data centers, quantum computing, cybersecurity, and cyber-physical system security. At WattWave Tech, he is spearheading the development of next-generation AI and cryptocurrency mining data centers, integrating seawater cooling, waste-heat desalination, precision capacity planning, and quantum-safe cybersecurity into scalable, circular economy-driven infrastructure.
